About Anna

Anna is a PNW native (note the stereotypical outdoorsy-ness) and writer of adult science-fiction and fantasy.

Anna has been reading and writing stories as long as she can remember. Her true debut novel was the tale of a sad crocodile who wanted to be any color but green (hand illustrated with Crayola markers on the finest construction paper).

After some obligatory self-insert teenage cringe — now destroyed for the good of humanity — she started writing what became Archer 887 after being forced to watch every science fiction serial on Netflix (i.e., she had a colicky newborn).

As she spent her childhood reading Asimov, McCaffery, Heinlein, and Bradbury, writing her own SF/F was a no brainer.

Speaking of brains.

Anna is a Registered Nurse, working seven years in the Neuro-Trauma ICU.

After the SARS-CoV2-19 pandemic, she transitioned to Infection Prevention and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Health, specializing in Infectious Disease Management.

Even if someone left her a bazillion dollars so she could write full-time, she probably would still show up to work. She loves Infectious Disease with the passion of a thousand fiery suns.

Anna and her family spend their days hiking, camping, and throwing themselves down mountains as fast as possible (also known as mountain-biking).

She also regularly kicks her kids’ butts at Mario Kart, but it’s for their own good. Teaches important life skills.
